This Website was originally created for Jen Collins and for her friends. As many of
you know,
Jen was diagnosed with Lung Cancer on April 23, 2004. After 2 1/2 years of
fighting like hell, the cancer took her on September 11th, 2006. Through
The Jennifer L Collins Memorial Foundation her spirit will live forever.
She kept a diary of her fight on her update page and you are encouraged to
read her story.
You will never meet a more courageous person!

The
Jennifer L Collins Memorial Foundation was
formed with the mission to provide
financial,
spiritual and educational support to cancer patients in the Pacific
Northwest and
do so in Jen
Collins’s name. Jen fought her battle like a true champion and the support
she received through
her friends helped her to focus on her battle rather then some of the
financial burdens & challenges
that so many cancer patients don’t foresee, but are often
hit with during
their fight.
Just
some of the things we will be providing, but not limited to, through the
foundation are:

Groceries |

Educational materials |

Holiday gifts for cancer kids & their families |
We currently support The Seattle Cancer
Care Alliance (which includes Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the
University of Washington Medical Center and Children’s Hospital) and The
Swedish Cancer Institute through their
Patient Assistance Programs.
Hopefully, with your help we will add many more organizations in years to
come!
The
Jennifer L Collins Memorial Foundation is
funded through donations from you and people just like you and various fund raising events, auctions.
It is you that makes what we do a success! Being a Non-Profit corporation

The First Annual Rod Long All-Star Celebrity Roast
was a HUGE success thanks to many of you! A Big Thanks goes out to all
of you who attended, supported and volunteered their time. We could

suggesting that one way to donate is
through your work place. Here is what she had to say:
This month a lot
of companies are passing out United Way Pledge forms in which you can
also choose any Registered Nonprofit Specific Organizations. Since the
Jennifer L Collins
Memorial Foundation is registered in Washington State, I can donate to
this cause.
And most of these forms allow you to choose a one time donation or even
use payroll
deductions per paycheck. I hope this idea helps and you'll be seeing my
bi-monthly
contributions starting November 15
So if you are able to
do so, talk to your employer(s)
and see if you can do the same!
